Boat Salt Remover - Concentrated Marine Salt Cleaner and Engine Flush

MA5X Salt Remover is a concentrated, sulfamic acid-based formula designed to dissolve salt deposits from boat hulls, trailers, outboard and inboard engines, jet skis, and marine gear. What sets it apart from a basic rinse product is the built-in anticorrosive additive, a corrosion inhibitor that adsorbs onto metal surfaces and leaves a light protective film after the salt is removed, helping slow the return of rust and corrosion between washes.

It also works as an engine flush. Run it through outboard, inboard, or outdrive cooling systems after saltwater use to clear internal salt deposits from cooling passages and jackets, reducing the corrosion-related failures that shortened engine life causes over time.

How to Use

External surfaces: Dilute approximately 1-2.5 oz per gallon of fresh water (0.5%–2% concentration depending on salt load). Apply with a sprayer or brush, allow brief dwell time, then rinse thoroughly. For heavy salt buildup on hulls and trailers, use at the higher end of the dilution range.

Engine flush: Mix per your engine or flush kit guidelines and circulate through the cooling system following your post-run or winterizing procedure. Rinse with fresh water afterward per equipment manufacturer instructions.

Do not mix with alkaline cleaners or base solutions. Test on a small area first when using on painted or coated surfaces.

What It Works On

Aluminum, stainless steel, chrome, fiberglass, gel coat, vinyl, and most plastics. Safe for use on sealed or treated wood surfaces. Effective on outboard engines, inboard cooling systems, outdrives, hulls, trailers, kayak racks, and fishing gear exposed to salt or hard water.

Safe Handling - Required Before Use

Signal word: Warning. This product causes eye irritation on contact and may cause skin irritation with prolonged exposure. Wear rubber gloves and safety glasses whenever handling concentrate. Avoid breathing mist or spray. If eye contact occurs, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from alkaline products and bases. pH 2–4. Non-flammable. Biodegradable formula.
