MA5X Concentrated Wheel & Tire Cleaner is a full-strength alkaline cleaner for baked-on brake dust and road grime. It loosens the deposits so they rinse off under a hose instead of coming off under a scrub pad. It cleans the tire in the same pass, taking off old dressing and brown sidewall film so fresh tire shine lays down evenly.
The 32 oz bottle sprays straight from the cap with nothing to mix. The formula is strong enough that most people end up cutting it with water once they see how it works, and a bottle goes a long way that way.
Made for the factory painted, clear-coated, and chrome wheels on nearly every vehicle on the road. Not for bare polished or anodized aluminum.
Features:
How to use: Work on wheels that are cool to the touch and out of direct sun. Rinse the wheel first, then spray the face, barrel, and tire until wet. Give it about 30 seconds, agitate with a wheel brush, and rinse thoroughly from the top down before the surface dries. Do one wheel at a time. Wear gloves and eye protection.
How far it goes: Mixed 1 part cleaner to 3 parts water, the 32 oz bottle makes 1 gallon of cleaner. The 1 Gallon size makes 4 gallons the same way, or refills the spray bottle four times at full strength.

Diluted 3:1 with water, produced fabulous results. Sprayed it on, let it dwell for 1-1/2 minutes, agitated it with a soft bristle brush, and pressure washed it off. Looks showroom new!

"Cleans off MOST of the brake dust" I tried this on some old wheels, my winter wheels, and some aftermarket wheels I clean after every drive. This will clean wheels that are kept up with. Don't expect miracles if you don't keep wheels cleaned (by hand) on a regular basis. My winter wheels and the old wheels probably won't ever come clean short of being sandblasted and refinished. I wouldn't say there's a strong smell to this but it does smell like cleaning solution. Good value and does what it says it's for. "Great heavy duty cleaner" This “Wheel & Tire” cleaner does more than just that, it’s a very effective heavy duty degreaser, too. I’ve used it on some car parts I needed to scrub up and it worked beautifully. It’s a pro-type product, so no flowery perfume smell, just heavy duty cleaning. (Don’t use this for regular household cleaning, it’s too strong for that and should always be used around good ventilation.) As someone who’s worked in product formulation years ago, I LOVE that they clearly list the ingredients right on the label. They are as follows: 1) Water; 2) butoxyethanol (aka Butyl Cellosolve or ethylene glycol monobutyl ether) a powerful solvent that dissolves oily gunk; 3) surfactant (concentrated detergent), 4) sodium metasilicate (metal protectant, alkaline builder for heavy duty cleaning); 5) sodium hydroxide (lye), used in small amount also to build alkalinity so it really breaks down gunk. — Originally posted on Amazon

"Really good wheel cleaner!" Product arrived with the shipping box intact, and the bottle contained in a plastic bag. Unfortunately, the liquid was leaking out of the bottle. Followed the directions to clean the tire and wheel assembly and found that it did a very good job on the wheel and an acceptable job on the tire. Pictures attached below of the bottle as received, as well as before/after pics of the tire and wheel assembly. Easy to use and will dress up your vehicle without having to spend a whole lot of time, effort or money. "Its basically a degreasser cleaner. Be careful with matte surfaces" I dont know what I was expecting but this is just basically your normal heavy duty degreaser and for me it has nothing out of the ordinary versus other degreasers. I like that it leaves the tires very clean and makes it easy to clean them off as well. But any heavy duty degreaser will do this. The thing I didnt like is that you have to be careful with it on the cars paint and any matte surfaces. This is heavy duty so it will not be a good idea to use it on those surfaces. I think what it is good about this is that I can dilute it with water by 50/50 and get 2 bottles out of this and it still has good cleaning power. I have matte black painted wheels and after trying it on a hidden surface it left it looking horrible, with white streaks. so be careful. "Leaves your tires looking new" This product reminds me quite a bit of Wesley's Bleche White, which is a compliment to the product. I used this on my tires and wheels after they became really dusty from our dirt road, and it did a nice job of knocking off all the dust and leaving the tires with a nice matte finish. Interesting to note that there are no suds with this product, so it was difficult at first to even see if it was working, but once I rinsed, I could see that it did a nice job. I don't know how it would do with whitewall or white letter tires, but as these are much less common now than 30 years ago, that's really not a concern to most buyers. If you like to detail your cars, or even just like keeping your car looking great, this is a nice product to finish the job on a normally neglected area. Recommended — Originally posted on Amazon

"Works great and safe on OEM rims" This tire and wheel cleaner worked great, got the road grime right off. I did a 50/50 dilution since I clean my wheels regularly. You can use it straight out of the bottle if you need a stronger concentration. Price is in line with similar wheel and tire cleaners. Did not damage my factory OEM rims.
