MA5X Heavy-Duty Degreaser Industrial | Maximum Strength pH 13-14
This is the strongest degreaser in the MA5X lineup. The Industrial is a pH 13-14 alkaline concentrate built for applications where the Black Degreaser isn't enough - engine rebuilding, years of carbon accumulation, production equipment, metal fabrication, and heavy manufacturing maintenance. It's not the right choice for general facility cleaning, and it shouldn't be. It's the right choice when you need maximum alkaline chemistry and you're prepared to use it correctly.
What It's Designed For
- Engine rebuilding and heavy carbon removal: Penetrates and dissolves years-old carbon deposits, baked-on oil, and compacted soils from engine blocks, heads, manifolds, and transmission cases within a 2 to 6 minute dwell time.
- Metal fabrication and production equipment: Removes cutting fluids, lubricants, and accumulated metal-working soils from fabrication tables, press beds, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
- Concrete floors with heavy oil contamination: Effective on shop floors and industrial concrete with long-term grease and oil buildup, particularly in preparation for coating, sealing, or inspection.
- Heavy equipment and power generation: Suitable for generator housings, compressors, turbine components, and heavy infrastructure where maximum-strength degreasing is part of a scheduled maintenance cycle.
How It Compares to the Other MA5X Degreasers
Start with the mildest product that gets the job done. The All-Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser (pH 11-12, WARNING label) handles daily facility and commercial cleaning. The Black Degreaser (pH 12-13, DANGER label) handles heavy commercial degreasing on vehicles and engines. This one, the Industrial (pH 13-14, DANGER label), is for the most extreme applications only. Each step up in strength means stricter PPE and ventilation requirements. Use this product only when the Black hasn't achieved the results you need.
Application
Dilute at 1:5 (1 part concentrate to 5 parts water) for extreme contamination including engine rebuilding and heavy carbon buildup. Dilute at 1:10 for heavy maintenance cleaning on regularly serviced industrial equipment. Apply by brush, pressure washer, or spray to the target surface. Allow 2 to 6 minutes of dwell time and agitate on compacted deposits before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. Always use in well-ventilated areas with mechanical air circulation active. Do not apply to aluminum without limiting contact time strictly and rinsing immediately. Do not mix with acidic cleaners or use in the same equipment as descalers, hull cleaners, or vinegar-based products.

Safety - Signal Word: DANGER
This is the highest-strength product in the MA5X lineup. It carries the GHS DANGER signal word and is classified as causing serious eye damage (H318), skin irritation (H315), and possible allergic skin reaction (H317). At pH 13-14, eye contact can cause permanent damage. This product is not appropriate for general commercial, kitchen, office, or household use.
Required PPE: Chemical-resistant gloves, safety glasses or face shield, and protective clothing. Mechanical ventilation is mandatory in enclosed spaces - this product contains 2-Butoxyethanol, which has a NIOSH recommended exposure limit of 5 ppm.
Eye contact: Flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses. Call a poison center or doctor immediately (P310). Do not delay.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash affected area thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Keep out of reach of children. Store separately from all acids and oxidizing agents - incompatible materials that can cause dangerous reactions on contact. Do not allow spills to reach drains, waterways, or storm systems.
