For marinas, boatyards, storage yards, and fleet service operations that need consistent, high-yield hull stain removal across multiple vessels. Available in a 55-gallon drum for centralized storage, drum pump dispensing, and pallet delivery.

MA5X Boat Hull Cleaner Concentrate in the 55-Gallon Drum is the same EcoMarine phosphoric acid formula used in our 32 oz and 1-gallon sizes, scaled for commercial volume. Designed to remove waterline stains, rust, algae, barnacle residue, and yellowing from fiberglass and gel coat while delivering a safer fume profile than hydrochloric acid hull cleaners commonly used in busy service yards.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High-output acidic concentrate: Phosphoric acid and biodegradable surfactants target waterline stains, rust, scum, algae, barnacle residue, and shell marks on fiberglass and gel coat keeping cost per hull service predictable at scale.
  • Restores hull appearance: Removes yellowing and rust staining on hulls, lower units, and trailers, helping maintain a clean, professional appearance for charter fleets, storage customers, and resale-ready vessels.
  • Safer than hydrochloric acid formulas: Phosphoric acid base (pH 1–3) delivers strong cleaning performance without the harsh fume profile of many HCl drum products supporting safer application in busy, enclosed, or partially ventilated yard environments.
  • Efficient, low-residue rinsing: Formulated to rinse clean with minimal streaking, ideal for rapid turnarounds and high-volume bottom cleaning programs.
  • Built for bulk handling: Standard 55-gallon drum integrates with metering pumps, proportioning stations, and pallet racks for organized inventory and chemical control across multiple docks and work crews.

Dilution & Application

For heavy rust, waterline stains, and severe marine growth, apply concentrate with acid-resistant sprayers or brushes to cool, dry surfaces below the rub rail. Allow brief dwell time, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water. For routine maintenance or lighter staining, use through proportioning equipment at approximately 1 part cleaner to 4–5 parts water, or follow your standard operating procedure for acidic hull washes. Always test on a small area and avoid prolonged contact with metals and sensitive coatings.
