For fleet maintenance operations, trucking and delivery fleets, car dealerships, quick lube and oil change shops, rental car lots, and detail centers that service vehicles running highway miles. Available in a 55-gallon drum for centralized storage, drum pump dispensing, and pallet delivery.

MA5X Bug Remover Windshield Washer Fluid in the 55-Gallon Drum is the same ready-to-use formula sold in our 1-gallon jug, packed for commercial volume. It pairs a glycol ether solvent blend and alkylpolyglycoside surfactants with a poly(dimethylsiloxane) silicone emulsion. The cleaners clear insect residue, tree sap, bird droppings, and road film, and the silicone leaves a thin water-repellent film on the glass so rain beads and sheds at highway speed. With that film in place, each later pass of the washers clears the glass faster. The alcohol is 2-propanol (isopropyl alcohol) rather than methanol, the lower-cost alcohol used in many bulk washer fluids. One drum fills 55 one-gallon reservoir top-offs at $4.00 per gallon, with no mixing at the pump.

Key Features

  • Ready to use straight from the drum. Pump directly into reservoirs or into labeled jugs with no dilution step.
  • Clears insect residue, tree sap, bird droppings, and road film.
  • Silicone film repels water so rain beads and rolls off the windshield at highway speed.
  • Made with 2-propanol, no methanol.
  • Mild pH of 6 to 8, safe on wiper blades, paint, rubber, and trim.
  • Light green tint keeps it easy to tell apart from blue fluid in the shop and in the reservoir.
  • Rated for cleaning in mild weather down to 32°F, suited to year-round use in warm climates and spring through fall elsewhere.

Dispensing & Application

Use straight from the drum. Do not dilute. Fit the drum with a hand or electric drum pump, or a drum faucet with the drum on a cradle, and fill vehicle washer reservoirs to the fill line at every oil change, inspection, detail, or lot check, and any time a vehicle's low washer fluid indicator is on. Tell drivers to run the washers a few times over the first several days after a fill so the film builds on the glass. For heavy bug buildup after a long highway run, spray the windshield and let the fluid sit 10 to 15 seconds before running the wipers. To stock service bays or trucks, transfer the fluid into clean, labeled 1-gallon jugs. In climates where temperatures drop below freezing, switch fleet vehicles to a winter formula for the cold months and return to this fluid in spring.

For operations that prefer a fluid with no film on the glass, the same cleaning base is available in the Blue Windshield Washer Fluid 55-Gallon Drum.
